Hello,

this is the download page for the original graphic mod (GUI, icons, etc) of War in the Pacific AE game and maps for it as well.

Complete overhaul of stock design. New look, modern stylized buttons, menu, improved game icons, graphics is easier to read, map is changed to save eyes - yellow tint, added noise.

How to use this mod

It is graphic mod, so there should be no problem using it. All you need to do is to replace graphics files in ART directory. Please copy original ART directory to "ARTold" in order to make backup.

Then you can unzip downloaded files into ART directory and you can try and play it. The file contains only graphics files, no executables etc.

MAPS:

RICH INFO MAP / RICH INFO MAP "1942 version"

Description in short: 

- TWO TYPES OF MAP TO CHOOSE FROM: Rich info map and "1942 version"
- 1942 version i recommend for bigger screens, because of smaller font size for base names. It has 1942 flawor, different graphics.

- All bases have a name on map,
- scenario 1 and scenario 2, last AndyMac Update (to 31.5.2021) data
- stock and extended versions,
- based on Chemkid map,
- each terrain has its color,
- bases with HI have red square under flag, LI is blue,
- cities hex - Heavy urban dark red, Light urban orange,
- hexes with oil 80+ has black leaks, 79- brown leaks,
- navigable rivers.
- repair shipyards have R after name of base.

- Please copy original ART directory to "ARTold" in order to make backup. Then copy all *.bmp files into ART folder. You will be asked to confirm to overwrite files - click on yes. If you wish renew former graphics, delete ART directory and rename "ARTold" to "ART".

- mainly in color and small other effects in order to fit aesthetically better to mod:
